Power Supply

OST 514 is powered by two backup batteries of 1.5 v each. One is on board inside the case and second battery has socket on chassis body.

1. Auto power-off function : The calculator switches the power off automatically if there has been no key entry for about 5 minuts.
2. Battery change : Use Maxell LR44 or SR44 batteries.

If the back-up battery needs to be changed use following instructions.

1. Replace Outer battery
   Backside of calculator has separate small size cover attached with one screw for outerside battery. Remove cover and replace the battery with a new battery (Maxell SR44 is recomanded for better performance) as per indicated polarity.
2. Replace On-Board battery
   Contact to nearest service center of OST or call to 91-231-2640009. Or get it replaced from well known any calculator service center with skilled engineer.

Remove Backside Panel of calculator which rest on two screws & also has screwless fitting at the back side of LCD screen & both side of key pad. On Board there is one battery with connection socket please replace the battery with a new battery (Maxell SR44 is recomanded for better performance) as per indicated polarity.

NOTE :  1) Replacement of battery with Wrong polarity may cause damage of board & hence calculator.
           2) Replacment of on-board battery from non authorised service center of OST will cause expiration of warrenty period.
